Methane reduction through Biogas

A week ago, during COP26, a global partnership was announced by president of US and the EU Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen in order to cut emissions of methane by 2030.

More than 100 countries have already joined the initiative. Their activities will mainly concern the fossil fuel industry, agriculture, and livestock farming, as well as landfill. In Botres Global we are aware of the problem of greenhouse gas emissions; therefore, our technology has been constructed to convert all types of organics into green energy, without polluting the environment. Our technology helps municipalities to separate valuable organic from non-organic municipal waste, thereby reducing the amount of methane emissions from landfills. Moreover, our highly efficient biogas plants can completely process chicken manure and other agricultural residues. In this way, farmers can avoid methane emissions, as well as groundwater contamination.

Reusing the organics to produce biogas will become much more important in today’s circular economy due to the depletion of earth’s resources. Biogas does not only provide renewable energy from waste but helps to reduce methane emissions from landfills and agriculture!
